Cockroaches

Unfortunately for us Front Range residents, Colorado is home to several species of cockroaches including American, Oriental, and German roaches. Out of these, German cockroaches are the most common invaders of residential and commercial properties.

Cockroaches primarily seek out food and moisture and thus are so often found in kitchens and bathrooms. These critters are active at night and are known for being highly resilient, with adults being able to survive up to a week without water and up to a full month without food.

Although they do not cause serious structural damage, they can damage to personal belongings such as curtains and fabrics with their eating behavior.

Cockroaches also spread a number of harmful germs and diseases, including but not limited to cholera, typhoid fever, E. Coli, and dysentery. They can easily contaminate kitchen surfaces and utensils used for food preparation or consumption.

All in all, these insects pose a real health risk for members of any household or business they decide to invade. If you suspect or have confirmed cockroach activity on your property, our team at Pioneer Pest Solutions is here to help.
